What is CROWD?
CROWD is more than just giving.
It's a movement. A commitment
to each of us playing our part.
CROWD brings three people together to change the story for one child: friends, family, community or like-minded people you've never met.
Three people determined to make a difference. Three people who want to achieve more together than they can apart. Three people who see that true change comes when we stand united.
Each CROWD enables a child living in poverty to attend a local church-based project in their community where they'll receive love, care and protection.
CROWD is a defiant declaration that we refuse to accept a world where children languish in the shadows of severe poverty.

How it works
3 people join together
to CROWD out poverty with love
and combined financial support for
a child living in severe poverty
Your CROWD of 3 could be friends, family or your wider community. Or you could be connected with two other like-minded people you've never met before who are as determined as you to make a difference.
Each member of the CROWD gives £12 a month. You’ll receive updates about the child you’re supporting and can exchange letters to send your love, prayers and encouragement.

church partners in some of the
world's poorest communities.
CROWD is an initiative of the charity Compassion UK. Compassion’s local church partners know the needs, understand the context, and have a heart to serve the children who need it most.
Your CROWD will enable a child living in poverty to attend a local church-based Compassion project in their community where they will be known, loved and protected.
It empowers church leaders, project staff, parents and family members with the resources they need to provide hope.
Your CROWD will help ensure
a child living in severe
poverty can receive:
Vocational training and academic support
Life skills training programmes to provide a brighter future
Healthcare and nutrition to prevent disease and fight sickness
Wellbeing support to help build self-confidence and social skills
Ongoing Christian teaching through the local church
Together we can create a world where every child is given the opportunity to escape from poverty, thrive, and become all that God intends them to be.
United for change
By joining a CROWD, you'll have the opportunity to share experiences and build relationships with other supporters like yourself.
Together you'll be part of a powerful support system for a child in need.
Collaborate in writing letters, sharing stories, and providing encouragement to the child you’re supporting. You're in control, contributing as much or as little as you wish to letter-writing or the gift-giving process, yet always feeling a part of a vibrant and supportive community.
